Jörg Schirrmacher is Head of Transport Finance at Helaba and has 25 years of experience in structured finance. Jörg holds a degree in business administration as well as an executive MBA.

Joerg Schirrmacher is the Head of Transport Finance at Helaba and is responsible for the origination and structuring of all transactions within the aviation and rolling stock segment. He also serves as board member of Impact on sustainable aviation e.V., which is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to support the aviation industry in its efforts to decarbonize.

Prior to his current role Joerg held several positions in the Bank including an assignment to the Dublin and the London office. In total he has twenty-five years of Corporate Finance experience mostly in the aviation sector, where he has assumed various responsibilities from credit analysis to origination and structuring as well as restructuring non-performing loans.

Joerg earned an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and also holds a Bachelor’s degree (Diplom-Kaufmann) in Business Administration from Johann-Wolfgang-Goethe University, Frankfurt.
