Tim joined Grant Thornton in 2016 and leads our Aviation Advisory team and became Partner in 2020. He has both domestic and international experience working with the world’s largest aircraft leasing companies and airlines.

Tim is experienced in transaction due-diligence, financial modelling with a focus on maintenance related cashflows, deep-dive contract reviews, internal audit, system integrations and data migrations. He has worked on a wide variety of projects, including lease/buy/hold analysis for large portfolios of commercial aircraft, fleet deployment optimisation models, maintenance reserve fund recalculation, SOx 404 testing and rating agency issuer rating reviews.

Tim has extensive experience within the aviation industry as well as completing financial model audits across the asset management, finance and renewable energy sectors.

Tim is a qualified Accountant (GCMA) professional, has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School, UCD and is a Qualified Engineer (CEng) from University College Cork (UCC)
